We are presenting you, our tours below with the aim of contributing and offering you an alternative vacation designed for nature lovers, or just anyone who wants to learn about the ecology, wildlife, flora, fauna, and the ecosystem of Panama. You will have the opportunity to stay and learn the cultures of the community.

WILD RAINFOREST TOUR  PGT02 TOUR CODE

 

Day 1: Panama City

     A representative of Dream Travel will meet you at the International Airport, and transfer you to your Hotel In Panama City.

Day 2: Panama Canal/Meet the We and Learn about our Legend Antonio Zarco  

     You will learn about the Panama Canal. This area of Panama joins the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans. With a little luck you can observe vessels transiting the Miraflores Locks. Our tour then continues, with a unique and unforgettable cultural experience. You will go to the Chagres National Park, at the Pier, you will meet your Embera Guide. Then embark in a traditional dugout canoe and observe the beauty of the flora and fauna of this beautiful area. You will then be received by the Cacique of the Embera who will give welcome you and take you on the path of the botanist, where you can share questions and take photo's, while observing the many species of animals. Returning to the meeting place Bohio Congress (Meeting House),  to enjoy a traditional lunch, and hear the story of our Hero, and Legend Antonio Zarco. After that memorable experience you will learn and witness the dances of the Embera and see a craft exhibition.

Day 3: Darien-ARIMAE_Santa Fe-The Craft of Producing Natural Soap, ECODIC (Aromatic Herbs and Plants)   

     You will begin your tour at 6 AM. Where you will travel to Darien, on the way to Darien, you will again witness the beautiful scenery and stop for breakfast. Then onto Darien-"ARIMAE", "ARIMAE" in the Embera traditional language means "we are from here". The next stop of your tour is the Center for Crafts Production Herbs and Aromatic Plants ECODIC, and see the the entire production of medicinal soap. This Center is very aware in the conservation, and cultural development in the area.

Day 4: Darien-Puerto Lara _The Wounnan Community   

     Today you will tour the village , you will get the chance to walk the numerous paths, to explore, and enjoy the flora and fauna. In the afternoon you will enjoy the presentations of traditional Wounnan Dances, listen to their stories, witness their artisans at work making baskets, tagua made out of seed, and wood crafting/carving using coco-bolo.

Day 5: Puerto Lara-Gulf of Las Palmas.

     Your Expedition begins with a excursion in a dugout canoe up the Savannah River. to Las Palmas where you will observe the colonial ruins of Cana, and see the natural beauty of the area.

Day 6: Puerto Lara-Agricultural Farm Of Christ   

     The day starts at 7AM with different activities, milking cows, and the process of making cheese. At Trapiche you will visit and watch, the processing of milling the sugar cane into juice and made into into delicious scrape, then stop and enjoy a traditional lunch. After lunch you will continue your journey to the Wakuku community in the Wakuku National Park and set up camp.  Enjoy the campfire and talk about the beauty of the place, exchange views, and ask questions.

Day 7: Wakuko National Park -San Francisco-Torti                   

     Having spent a phenomenal night, and listening to Howler Monkeys. You will go bird watching. See of you can find all 133 of the different species of birds.  See if you can find a painted rabbit, and observe all the other different animals. Enjoy the crystalline waters of the creek. Then you will then continue to Torti Village, and observe the craftsman of in their art of saddle making. We will follow the Torti River upstream enjoying the beautiful landscape and ask questions to your guide.

Day 8: Hotel and Airport Transfer

     According to the time of your departure you will be transferred to the Tocumen International Airport.

Important Note: Don't forget to bring with you, Binoculars, insect repellent, sunscreen, flashlight, sleeping bag, and raincoat.

 

NATURE, FARM, AND COAST TOUR

DAY1:  Gatun Lake and Dam, The Trogon Path, Natural Pools, Interactive Artisan's Cafe.

Depart Panama City,at 5:30. The first stop will be at the Gatun Lock and Dam.  Gatun Lake is the second largest artificial lake in the world.

You will learn about it's history and it's importance. Our tour will also take us to the Trogon Trail, where we will have the opportunity to observe the different species of birds.  The best time for bird watching is between 6AM and 9AM. We then continue to the community of Achiote, to observe it's natural beauty.  Here will have breakfast at the Casca Restaurant. After breakfast, our tour continues to a Natural Pool where the waters are crystal clear.

We return to the Casca Restaurant for lunch.  After lunch, our adventure takes us to Suspiro del Valle Farm.  Here we will learn about the production of coffee, from growing and harvesting, to the final product that we know.  Our final stop for the day, is at the Tucan Visitor Center where archeology exhibits of the area are on display for your enjoyment.

Day 2:  Elizabeth Dairy and Cheese, Cabalgata  Achiote, Llano Bonito

Enjoy a typical Panamanian breakfast at the Casca Restaurant, while watching birds common to the region.  Today will also provide an opportunity to participate in the manufacturing of dairy products.  The entire process is demonstrated, from the milking of the cows, to the making of cheese.  Experience the  Beauty of Nature when you go horse back riding toward Achiote.  Our day ends with dinner, where you can have a Taste of the region, and enjoy a swim after dinner, in one of our local rivers.

Day 3:  Tour in Cayuco  Cano Quebrado River -Palmas Bellas

Your day begins with a trip, in a native dugout canoe, paddling along the Cano Quebrado River.  Here you can  observe the vegetation (Flora and Fauna) and local fishing in the river.  We will exit our dugout canoes at Palmas Bellas, and enjoy lunch and a Show (Baile Congo) at the Casca Restaurant.  We will finish our day at the Tommy Natural Resort, where you can enjoy a specially prepared meal, while enjoying the beautiful sunset.

Day4: Punta del Medio - Tommy Natural Resort

Today offers a day of relaxation.  You can enjoy the beaches along the river, or oceanside.  If you just want to relax, take a break, or are just in the mood for a siesta, hammocks (hamaca) are available for your enjoyment.  You can listen the sound of the waves, and the songs of the indigineous birds of the area, while enjoying a nice asado (steak on the grill).  This evening, a Dinner-Show in the Resort will be provided.  After the Show, you will have the opportunity to dance to a live Folk Band, before retiring for the evening.

Day 5: Tommy-Panama

Our last day, and our staff hopes that you have enjoyed your stay in Panama's paradise.  Breakfast will be at a small Bohios on the beach, and lunch will be grillside, in Barbacoa'.  By 1pm we will be in our way home.
