BOCAS DEL TORO

      A region of unparalleled wealth in, natural resources. It's rain forests are recognized as being important for the development of Eco tourism. It's also ranked as one of the best Scuba Diving spots in the world. Bocas del Toro is located on the Panamanian part of the Caribbean. Covered by jungles and virgin forests it can be described as a land of contrast. The Bocas del Toro Archipelago is located at the mouth of the Chiriqui Lagoon. The archipelago is comprised of nine islands and 51 keys and more than 200 islets.

The Isla Bastimentos Marine National Park is the country's first national marine park covers 32,682 acres. This  make it one of the country's most beautiful and important marine habitats of Panama.  The diversity of the marine species, and coral reefs make it an ideal place for diving.

Bird Island Is more than an Island, it resembles a giant rock in the middle of the ocean. It is of vital importance in the preservation of the ecosystem. Migratory birds travel great distances to rest here. Depending on the season the island is home to as many as 50 different species of birds.

COCLE

     Cocle is a land that offers you great natural attractions. It has an extraordinarily rich culture filled with abundant folklore.

     Among the highlights of the province are Valle de Anton, The salt mines of Aguadulce, The Museum of El Cano, The Church of Nata de los Caballeros, The  Penonome Museum,  Anton Church, and the country's most beautiful beaches.

     The area is noted for its Artisans in addition to the ecological value and its biodiversity. It has a multitude of different species of flora.

     In the Valley of Anton you will have the opportunity to observe the golden frogs, the square trees, the petroglyph's, and the thermal pools in our beautiful forest.  One magical area is Chorro el Macho.  At this location is a dramatic waterfall  that drops 35 meters at Yellow Creek.  It is considered an ecological paradise due to its lush vegetation and natural beauty.

     La Pintada is a very attractive area. It is located at the foot of  the hill in India Dormida. (Where at the top of the mountain's rock formation is in the shape of a sleeping indian princess.) Here you will find the oldest traces of its earliest residents. Besides being a place where Panama's artisans are inspired to create their hats made from palm fiber.

COLON

     Located at the entrance of the Panama Canal on the Atlantic side.  Colon is the second largest and most important city in Panama. It has three major ports of the country, Cristobal, Manzanillo, and France Field. It also has the port of Colon 2000 Cruises. With these ports it turned Colon into port city, a major business center, and the largest free trade zone in the world.  These ports have been doing business for nearly 50 years and have nearly 1600 International representatives. Here you can purchase a variety of international items at trader market prices.

      You will have the opportunity to explore Portobelo and Fort San Lorenzo. This is where you will find the history of Christopher Columbus during the colonization period. You may also visit the famous Customs Portebelo, which began its fairs in the colonial era.  And yes if your lucky you can enjoy the contagious rhythm of the Congo.

DARIEN

     It may surprise you to know, that Panama also has mountains. The mountains of San Blas, Bagre, Pirre and Sapo. Which rise from 4921 to 5905 feet above sea level. It also has two important rivers, the Chucunaque and Tuira.

    The Darien National Park is considered one of the most important natural reserves in the country.  Occupying most of the province and covering an area of  1430 acres has  a vast ecosystem.  It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1983 by UNESCO. Most notably this site is, the area is home to the Harpia Eagle, Panamas National Bird. This ecosystem is known as one of the world's best areas for bird watching, and for its adventurous travels

     Explore the extraordinary indigenous heritage of the artisans of Embera and Wounnan, who produce their works in tagua, woodcarving, fine fabric, and the native chaquiras necklaces made from the seeds of trees.

     In the gulf of San Miguel,  The fishing resources are abundant.  It thrives in shrimp, fish and lobster. In the interior rivers,  you can observe the Original History of our ancient  fishing methods.

      Darien National Park, there are the remains of an Old Fort that Protected the Spanish entry to the Gold Mines of Cana. La  Palma and the Tuira  river can be recognized by its its shops, where the you can meet the Indians.

     Herrera is located in the Azuero Peninsula, 5 hours from Panama City.

     The Province of Herrera is the smallest province of  the country with a land mass of 903 square miles. It is strong in folklore and history.

     It has a Natural Wealth  consisting of  National Parks, Forests, Beaches, Hot Springs,  Its vast ecosystems, beautiful coasts, beaches, and research sights,  including Iguana Island, and much, much more.

     The Herrera Museum,  which displays many artifacts and presents the ethnic culture of the region. The Sarigua National Park is a  pre-Columbian settlement.

     The province of Veraguas is located in the central part of the Republic of Panama. Its shorelines touch both oceans. The Pacific coastline extends 353 miles, and 43.4 miles of the Caribbean coast. It also has numerous Natural Parks and National Reserves.

      Veraguas is a place for a peaceful and restful getaway.  But if you enjoy adventure.  It also presents you with virgin forests for you to explore.

     It has a wide variety of crafts, pottery, ceramics, crafting of fine saddles, hats,and chaquiras,  which have been Nationally and Internationally recognized for their quality.

     The Instituto  Normal Superior Juan Demostenes Arrosemena, Is the Training Center for Trainers, "Teachers Center". The Center has been declared a National Historic Monument and is considered a Masterpiece of Architecture Art from the early part of the century.

     This area includes 40 islands. Coiba with (190 square miles, is the Nations Largest). and Cebaco (30  square miles). Other islands of note are, Jicaron Lions, Governor, Green, Canal Outside, Rancheria, Papagayo, Contreras and Jacarita..

PANAMA CITY

      Panama City is very cosmopolitan. It presents you with a variety of contrasts between historical and modern, From the famous Bridge of the Americas, to the Historical ruins of Old Panama, which was destroyed in 1671 by the pirate Henry Morgan.

     The urban center is very much, Panama Colonial.  Characterized by its narrow alleys and brick streets and surrounded by  colonial buildings, historical ruins of the first city, museums, and churches, its architecture reflects construction of  three styles, Spanish, French and Italian.

    The crafts in this province consists of replicas of pre-Colombian Art. That have been found in the famous ruins of Old Panama and other urban centers,the artifacts include coco, figures carved in wood,  include carved shelves, and tables painted in oils and acrylics.

SAN BLAS

     San Blas is a region of great beauty. The women wear the famous multicolored molas. The molas are regarded as one of the most sophisticated crafts from Latin America. The Craft is the "mole", and is  classified as one as the most beautiful indigenous costumes in the world.  They are made using cotton fabrics with bright colors, geometric and abstract designs with a reflection of scenic daily life embroidered on them,  They also have  items of pure gold that women use to adorn the garments. The chaquira necklaces are also produced in the region.

     This area is characterized by them keeping true to their customs. Tourists are only  allowed into the areas by permission of the chieftain or by permit.
